Anyone On Here Got A Drone?

There was one guy on the old board I recall who used to post videos of Teesside landmarks from his drone.
Dont know if he is on this MB under another name?
 
Can you use it with VR ?
I’ve fancied checking out the wildlife in a a woods at night assuming they have night vision mode .
 
Mavic pro 1, think it was 950 used with 4 batteries faster charger etc etc...
was quite fun...then for me personally became boring very quickly .
i bought it to view fields I had permission to detect on, so I could mark find spots and to see if groundwork’s were visible.
think I had only 3 hours fly time in total before I lost interest and sold it on .
hold their price well to be fair, I got my money back with the sale .

i believe it’s one of them hobby’s that if it clicks with you, you will absolutely go full bore and love it 👍
 
Quite funny how many posts on local Facebook groups after Christmas asking for people to look out for their brand new drone lost on its first outing. Suffice to say, don’t lose line of sight, and don’t get too ambitious.
 
I was given one a couple of christmases ago; I dabble in photography and my brother thought I'd like it which, in theory, I do.

However, I'm not very good at flying it. It's only small and I find even the slightest breeze affects it massively. Nevertheless, I got it undercontrol in 2019, but I really didn't get out with it much last year.
 
It’s quite a shock when you’ve had a proper one and then play with a kiddie one how poor and total waste of time the cheap ones are .
the control on the ‘pro’ type acctualy work and do what you want them to do, plus they have a return to base feature, the drone works out its battery life and fly time remaining and takes over control to return to you before it runs out of power .
mine had a follow me feature, the drone would control itself and fly 20 metres behind me recording .
fly time is still poor currently, most I got was 24 minutes on a full battery
