On a serious note I figured that’s what it was . I wonder whether the instructors dictated the rookie flightpath to show them for a laugh after they landed !Isn't Tees-side airport (sic) used for training flights from time to time? Something to do with the quietness and long runway.
See them regularly flying over Teesside, as said it's used for pilot training. Did seem to be flying lower than normal though yesterday. On a serious note I figured that’s what it was . I wonder whether the instructors dictated the rookie flightpath to show them for a laugh after they landed !
I agree with this, it just looks like witchcraft. I get a good view of the approach flight path from my back garden. I'm loving the resurgence of the airport as I can admire several planes an hour fly past, instead of three a day as it's been up until quite recently.I was driving along Durham Back Lane in Eaglescliffe heading towards the A66 as it was turning towards the Airport. Always amazes me how big they look and how slow they appear to be flying. Still marvel how they stay up in the air.
Maybe it's my age, but I only see two chocolate éclairs and a couple of macarons? Here’s its flightpath. Is it my lurid mind or do you think it has a bit of a phallic semblance ?

Easyjet for one use Teesside to get their pilots flights hours up to the required standard, although I guess that was because it was so underused in recent times.Isn't Tees-side airport (sic) used for training flights from time to time? Something to do with the quietness and long runway.
Looks like a load of paper clips with a few laggy bands thrown in ! On a more serious note though, it was always an experience watching Harriers land and take off on the Aircraft Carriers. Here’s its flightpath. Is it my lurid mind or do you think it has a bit of a phallic semblance ?

I once flew to Gibraltar in 1981 on a Dan Dare BAC 1-11, that was an experience I would like to forget !Used to do it all the time in the 70's
There was a DAN-AIR Comet
British Midland Viscount

Occasionally a BAC 1-11
I flew them regularly between Aberdeen and London in the mid 80s.I once flew to Gibraltar in 1981 on a Dan Dare BAC 1-11, that was an experience I would like to forget !
