Anyone know the rules on cup eligibility?

Assuming we do, will we be able to play them against Chelsea (assuming they didn’t play for their parent club)? Or did we need them to be registered at the start of the competition?

I’d be very surprised if we did much transfer business before the cup games, that’s not generally how things work.

We signed Archer on the 6th of January and he played in the FA Cup for us the next day.

We signed Gazza just before League Cup Final and he played. So long as they have not played in same competition for another club.

Cool , I’d still be surprised if we did much business before the Villa game. It’d be nice to be surprised though as we desperately need it.

If business does happen in time, then get the registration in by the Friday deadline, and they can play on the Saturday as long as they are not cup tied just as they could in league game. If there is a replay, I am pretty sure we can only play a player who was registered in time to play in the first match.
