Anyone fancy a cup of coffee in London

I simply don't understand the 'need' for coffee and why coffee shops have appeared everywhere. I have a cup with my breakfast....one a day.

You see ques of cars at drive up Costas or or rammed Starbucks in town. I can't think of any point in my life where I'd think 'oh I need a nice sit down coffee' and pay 3 quid or whatever it is😂

I know people where I work who could easily do 10-15 cups whilst at work (god knows what they have at home) . Every 15 mins 'anyone want a bru?'..... I'm the idiot because I keep working while they drink bru's or smoke.

You seem to mock people who choose to spend money on pursuits you think ridiculous, yet for many years you have posted about your multi thousand pound bets (with zero success rate).

I’d rather spend £19 on a Gordon Ramsay breakfast then one of your tips, much better value. 😃

Have a cafetière at home. Only drink ground coffee at home but instant at work all day. Can tell the difference between really cheap ground coffee and the average 3-5 quid a bag. Anything more than that in my opinion probably has a touch of the Emperor’s new clothes about it!
Post lockdown have realised just how silly Costa and the likes are.
Always have a cup at home first thing though

I like a good coffee. I love putting my Bialetti on the stove on a morning, but £50 is ridiculous. I’d pay pay £10-15 for the experience described in the article but that’s it.

I would probably spend £50 on a glass of wine but I’d need it to be my birthday and also I’d need it to be old as foook from an amazing vintage!

Love coffee me.
Starbucks do a good americano.
Costa is terrible.
Nespresso machine at home is wonderful (30 p or so per cup)
My only bad habit😉
