Ants.

The little blighters really don't bother me, but I wouldn't want them in my house, indeed my front room or even worse my bedroom.

What's the real cure to stopping the little buggers from entering your home?

Please give me the answer, it'll make me look good, if I have the real answer to a question I'm asked relentlessly.

Tri corner hat, hussars jacket, white stripe across the nose, dance like a **** and lead them out behind you Hamelin style.

I've recently found some in my gaff. I guess it's that time of year. They Clearly sneaked in under the door.

I just put a bit of ant powder in the door sill and in the chippings around my door area. I've not seen one for over a week. Like you they don't bother me and feel slightly mean killing them. Just don't particularly want them running around my carpet.

I once bought a large living room plant from B&Q. I went away for a week with work. I came back and had hundreds of the little buggers marching across my kitchen and living room in perfect lines. I was still finding them days later😂

1 part borax to 3 parts sugar, mix with a little water until it all dissolves and makes a sort of syrup, soak it up on cotton wool balls and put them near where the ants are entering.

You need to trace where they are entering from and fill the holes up.

Ant powder is very effective but will only contact kill. You need a variety of poison that is taken back to the nest and used as food, which will kill the queen and the nest. Supplement with any powder and there is a liquid you can get called ant gone for treating lawns/patios etc but you'll only delay it until another nest comes along - you really need to plug in the way they're getting in.

In our old house it was a small gap behind washing machine to the wall cavity. We powdered it to be sure, no more ants - then filled it with expanding foam. Solved.

You can leave some bait stations around the outside of house too if you want to keep it up
