They will have been active participants… but the CEO and the rest of the board will have put the numbers and suggestions together first.

The whole lot want sacking… would save a fortune

It's another reason red flag about trusting those in power, when they block dissenting voices. It gives an indication that a) they don't like accountability, b) they don't see the money they spend as the publics c) they have things to hide

The budget is purely a political choice, Council officers don't get to chose what is cut and isn't, quite often this would include their departments.
Of course officers will be doing the numbers for the politicians, but the numbers will be requested by politicians and politicians alone will make the choice.
 
I had no clue there was free parking anywhere in town….
Reason I don’t go there shopping is lack of decent shops and a large percentage of scumbags frequenting the area not £1.60 parking!!!
