Can't see Greenwood kicking on from this tbh.. where is he going to go to get away from it? Has he learned? Is he remorseful? Its never going away is it.Ched Evans career hardly kickstarted once he was eventually cleared

My concern is for the lass and his kid.Hopefully not
I'd hope the victim gets the support needed to get away from GreenwoodMy concern is for the lass and his kid.
I don’t think they should have to pay for what he’s done.. talk of them getting married.
What were the police doing allowing him to see her during the arrest period/trial period.
He doesn’t come across as being sorry or remorseful at all.. from the outside looking in it looks much worse.
Name change and a career long conservaship in favour of his girlfriend/fiancé/mother of his kid.
Exactly atypical....I don't think I would boycott if we signed him, because I didn't with Marlon King or Gazza when they'd knocked lasses about, but no I don't want him.
I also paid to see a talk with Mike Tyson in Las Vegas once, and he's a convicted rapist.
I can't remember for certain, but my recollection is that the accusations about him smashing a lass in the face on a night out came about either just before or just after we signed him on loan, in fact they may have come out during the actual transfer window/saga itself. He was convicted later. I suppose that could be slightly different. It was a genuine question from me, by the way.
Was the Marlon King incident public knowledge when Middlesbrough signed him?
Had a lot of PR folk around him too. Can't imagine Marlon King doing that would have had the same impact. If I remember rightly, Gazza came forward and did an interview at the time, admitting to what he'd done and said that he was getting help.
He may have only done that though because he knew the story was going to come out, and felt it would look better for him if he was honest and upfront about it.

Definitely not the case with Gazza though, who had admitted to physically terrorising his wife for 2 years. He got away with it (not just from Boro fans but the football community on the whole) for being a 'lovable' rogue, at the time the extent of his mental health issues weren't even entirely known.
But he was 'Gazza' after all. Arguably loved in Scotland more than England in 95-96 too.
I actually hadn't realised, or forgot, that he felt her up as well.Club backs player after charges
MIDDLESBROUGH Football Club has vowed to support one of its players after he was charged with attacking a woman in a nightclub.www.thenorthernecho.co.uk
Turns out they were well aware before the official charges were made, which is shameful.

Southgate backed him as well! Surprised this hasn't been in the Sun.
