I'm sure there is a few financial 'experts' on here so am wondering, what would a 130k annuity offer us as of today ?

The plan is for an annuity in 3 years time (Dec 2026 to be exact) but just wondered what a rough guide of £s would be per year.

Thanks.....anyone!

Is it for a pension?
Do you want a flat rate or index linked ?
Do you want to leave half to your spouse if you die?
the answers make a big difference to your annuity.

Is it for a pension? Yes and I would be 59 in Dec 26

Typically a 65 year old single person can get 7% if they shop around for a best rate.

That is not index linked and is for someone one in good health. Poor health get a higher rate as life expectancy is reduced.

As base rates go up so does annuity rates - the media alway focus on borrowers such as people with mortgages, but there are more people with savings and annuities which is less exciting to write about.
