Its all Jeremy`s fault dont you know?Nandy has to be the thickest labour MP I've ever seen. Party is in a right state at the moment.
As I said on another thread, it's time he did the honorable thing and stood down as former leader. Its all Jeremy`s fault dont you know?
That's the way that Starmer and the press will spin it and the most depressing thing is that a lot of people will believe that. Its all Jeremy`s fault dont you know?
I'm going to start my campaign to get Zarah Sultana elected leader ASAP. I've still got John McDonnell's phone number somewhere and if I can get him onboard then I have a chance of succeeding. Heart condition or no heart condition nobody messes with big John. And then I'll steer her career towards becoming the next prime minister. And then I'll marry her and have her babies. As I said on another thread, it's time he did the honorable thing and stood down as former leader.
Not even remotely funny. Stick to the day jobShame there’s restrictions on holidays - she could have booked up for the Cayman Islands....
And a bigger liability than Starmer. That would sink the Labour Party to further depths.Angela is a hard hitting MP and I am shocked at this decision. I am a party member but even I have seen that Labour have taken votes for granted in a lot of constituencies. Starmer can tear a new one into Johnson every week, it doesn't hurt the Tories. But he has not mentioned any policies. What can Labour offer?
The results weren't ALL bad -Labour did very well in Wales and comfortably held on to the West Country and Liverpool, despite the recent scandals. There again Liverpool was a given anyway because nobody would vote for a Tory there- even the Sun is banned. Preston city is interesting because Labour keep the money local, not privatising services and even forming 12 co-operatives so that employees have a vested interest in the organisations. So Labour were returned with a good majority. Small comfort but at least it is something to hang on to.
But I am digressing, Unless Starmer can offer policies he should go.
My choice would be John McDonnel- he is vocal, straightforward, outspoken, clear in his beliefs, a very good debator and uses facts to back up what he says.
Why?And a bigger liability than Starmer. That would sink the Labour Party to further depths.
Genuine question.Rayner isnt a saint and said she was prepared to "suspend thousands" [of members] to achieve Starmers aims - but it goes to show: if you side up next to a snake, it will eventually bite you just the same. It is a huge warning to those who thought they had got into bed with the establishment`s man - only to find the Enemy Within.
Rayner isnt the first and wont be the last. I hope she continues to fight for her principles.
