Apparently it was Burnham supporters who helped get Corbyn on the ballot for leader, to try and encourage the more left wing members to turn out to vote and have their second preference votes shift to him, so they only have themselves to blame for that.

Just watching him on BBC news, very inspiring and talked a lot if sense about English devolution. The interviewer tried to catch him out by asking when Starmer last spoke to him about policy ‘last week’ he replied. He also said starmer listened and he expects major changes.

I don’t think he was ready back then. Now, however, after taking on the government and showing his teeth on a big platform over the Manchester covid restrictions/furlough row back in October, I think he’s as good a candidate as anybody. He talks with passion and sincerity, he’s visible, people know who he is, he can get the public engaged and I think he’s probably got an angry/nasty side, which I think is needed at the minute.
He’s matured into excellent opposition leader material in my opinion.

I’d have him in and Starmer out tomorrow if I could.

If Burnham became Labour leader I might be persuaded to vote for them at the next election. As it stands I'll be voting for an independent representative. (Again)

Burnham almost had an open goal at the leadership race but by abstaining instead of opposing on the Welfare Bill he allowed Corbyn the opportunity to be seen as the candidate who would oppose the government and that momentum propelled him into Leadership of the Labour Party, a problem with politics is it’s a complex business that is seen as a binary concept by voters.

A Khan led Labour Party would result in decimation. Popular in London, not so much else where.

A Burnham led labour would have much more of a chance than the current leader. I can’t see it anytime soon but hopefully he’ll be in a position to lead Labour into the next election. Would love it 👍🏼

In my mind there's too many Labour 'big hitters' not being engaged with at the moment.

Pointless cutting your nose off to spite your face.
