A Tory candidate for Tamworth called Andrew Cooper posted this photo to his Facebook in 2020 in relation to parents not being able to afeed your kids. What's troubling is, **** like this doesn't surprise me. Screenshot_20231018-101812_Instagram.jpg

He's a Tory - at least he has the decency to be brazen about his lack of compassion, understanding and is open about being a nasty barsteward

File under 30p Lee

Vile.
Regrettably though, countless right wing voters will being nodding their heads in agreement with him.

I can think of a few medieval punishments that are fitting...

The bottom right hand bit is missing - what has he written?

If you don't have Sky, don't do have your nails done, don't have a phone contract over £30/month and one parent works full time?

Example take home pay £1400 (Gross - £21k a year)

Rent £700 per month

Council Tax £150

Energy bills £150

Old Car total cost of running/depreciation £150 - needed to get to work

Two Phones for Internet and Calls £50

BBC Licence/Water bills/House Insurance - £60

Clothes and shoes for all family £60 - all bought at Primark bottom range

Basic things for the house - Washing Machine/TV/Furniture/Beds etc - £30

Haircuts - £20 per month for the family

£10 deficit before food, basic toileteries, sanitary products, cleaning materials.

No money allowed for any presents for anyone.

It the couple are married I think the working partner can claim some of the unused income tax allowance of the working partner which would possibly get rid fo the deficit and create a £85 per month fund for food and other essentials per month, but that is not enough to live on for a family of 4. If we said £10 per day for the family it would last 8.5 days.

I have assumed the house is small and the children are at primary school or are pre school and so can't be left alone and there is no relative to look after them for free.

The average rent in the UK is £1,278 per month outside London and in London £2,627 per month - rents are rising 10% per year. So the rent above is well below the average and its band B is a low rated area of the country.

Cost in general for low income family units have been rising by well over 10% a year, but wages by 6.5%, with some welfare payments frozen.

He can't spell your or can't be bothered to amend it before putting into the public domain - the whole feeling of the post is I am not really interested in your problems. Very aggressive too using the f word.

If he wants to save taxpayers money, maybe we should stop subsidising food and drink in the House fo Commons and limit their expenses to only £2,500/month.
