Simply a no from me. The guy is 30 and although it's not an issue age wise it is if signed on a 3 year deal.

No matter what you pay he will leave for free at the end of it. Who's going to buy a 33 year old? Would you offer a 33 year old a new deal (standfast Howson).

The bigger issue is that he's simply never scored goals. He's had one good season. Just like Waghorn when we busted a gut to get him. He'd done nothing before or since that one year at Ipswich.

I'd even throw that Bret Emerton Diaz into that. Woeful scoring record before he changed his name😉. Also see Juke in that season at Brum. It's always possible to have a 'freak' season then suddenly his club thinks he's worth a fortune.
 
He's started this season just like the last one... On fire!

I think he's just what we need & currently lack... Namely experience, pace, leadership, not to mention goals & assists. Bit like Nugent was for us, who I rated massively. Bristol City fans on Twitter are saying they can't believe nobody has been in for him.

Signing more 'potential' is all well & good, but right now this is where we should be placing our bets
