Signed on the 23rd January 2020 for €6.000.000,00 from Slovan Bratislava. Sporting included a €60.000.000.00 buy out clause to his 5 year deal. He previously signed for Slovan Bratislava back in 2017 and went on to score an impressive 61 goals in 78 games for the Slovakian side. Not known for his aerial ability but he is described as a natural finisher and cool in front of goal mainly using his right foot. Struggles with the defensive side and can go missing physically when pressed with the ball.

According to Portuguese reports, Sporar will join Middlesbrough on Thursday 26th August on an initial 1 year loan deal with Middlesbrough picking up 85% of his €2 million Euros a year wage demands from Sporting (£27,500 p/w). Included in the loan deal a mandatory buy clause for €8.5 million Euros (roughly £6.75 million) if the striker scores 15 League goals and Middlesbrough go on to be promoted to the Premier League.
Comments from the Lisbon fan forums are divided on Sporar with some fans upset with the speed and nature of the deal without giving him time to play/settle with most of his game time being from the bench. A lot of Sporting fans argue he was a panic buy from a much lower standard of football league and he's struggle to adapt to his new surroundings. He's described as being bullied too easily and struggles playing up front alone so will do well in a two. Many fans are upset with the figures involved with the deal and state he should be going for much more in todays market and even quote some of the transfers done recently in the UK including Armstrong from Blackburn and Buendia from Norwich in comparison with goal scoring records.

If he does go onto to scoring 15 League goals and we do indeed get promoted the general feel around Sporting fans is we've got a bargain.

He's now on his way to confirm the signing as advised yesterday above.
