An informative thread on military logistics

It's hardly surprising. I mean a 40 mile convoy of heavily armed vehicles takes an amazing amount of fuel and logistics to keep moving. Also providing them all with ammo and food.

Apparently many of these 'destroyed' vehicles have actually been abandoned and destroyed later.

That said reading that many have been issued food 7 years out of date. My god🙄 (although Ration packs so some stuff would be fine).

The surprise may be that this has been allowed to happen.
 
I'm not doubting your man or suggesting there is contradiction in what they say.
But with respect to Mr O'Brien who is an individual, the weight of comment from an official public servant is heavier IMO
In any event there's some encouragement in what they both say.
 
The world 'feared' the Russian Army from 1945 to January 2022 - they have shown themselves up and no one fears them now

Ridiculous thing to say - try saying that nobody fears them to the families of the thousands of brutally murdered children, women and men. Try telling that to the brave Ukrainian forces standing for their country in the face of devestating weapons that could potentially kill them at any time. Have a think about what you say before you say it.

A little OTT there WeeGord, I think he was referring to militarily rather than civilians. During the Cold War the Soviet military did have mythical status.

That’s not the point I was making, I know the Soviet Union were feared. The point I’m making is that on several threads he’s been like an enthusiastic teenager excited about watching a couple of people having a fight.

It’s thoughtless, childish and his constant ‘my Dad is bigger than your Dad’ style rubbish is disrespectful to the thousands who have seen loved ones murdered and the millions or even billions whose lives may be changed forever.
