Always thought the Bovril was a bit too hot...

I'd heard about this...but have just found out who it is....know them really well....worked with his nana for 25 yrs. He's a good kid bless him....going to be a nightmare keeping him still and quiet during the Easter hols

Poor lad. He sees enough dropped things on the pitch when the keeper goes for an easy save.

It would be nice if the club let him come along to the training ground seeing as it's the school holidays.

It's fatal to try and drink it straight off.
Molten lava.
It is but I always get bored of holding it end up putting it down and then by the time I remember it’s either cold or someones kicked it over walking past. When it was thicker it wasn’t as bad but they seemed to weaken it about 5-6 years ago where it’s now more boiling water and less bovril, or at least that’s what my heads telling me.

I worked on the pitch side bovril (just occurred to me how dangerous this could have been) trundling a tank of it around the cinder track in the 73/74 season. Bovril lads rarely get a mention. I don't think it was ever "thick". Having been involved in adding the boiling water to the extract, I can vouch for its historic thinness, and a profit margin that would put a Columbian drug dealer to shame.

Got to admit, I was expecting something like this to happen. As the same with a lot of other posters, mine gets placed under my seat for a good 15/20 minutes before I even attempt to drink it.

I noticed last week that the lids didn't even fit the cups.

Great response from both. They seem to be happy with the first aid staff and more so acknowledge it was an accident.

I just expected a sad compo face photo and a chancer trying to get a payout. That's how cynical I am now😂

The most surprising aspect was that folk still drink it. That said the smell just sends me back to the Holgate and the 80s.

Cue Huddersfield game, "excuse me, can i get another, my Bovril isn't warm enough"..........
