Alok Sharma spent 45 minutes with Johnson and Suank yesterday...

It’s close contact when you’ll have to self isolate, from what I’ve read so if you’ve socially distanced then you won’t be asked to self isolate
In that case, as everyone still has to distance even when meeting people, then no one will ever have to isolate after tracing?

I thought the initial report came from no. 10 that Johnson would have to isolate?
If that’s the case they either didn’t know the rules or they knew he was within 2m.

Either way?

The App only triggers if you have been within 2m of someone for 15 mins

I think any work meetings with stakeholders are going to have to be scheduled for no longer than 14 minutes. Come into contact with a sufferer could mean 14 days away from work and the business suffers. I trust those who can work from home will remain at home and not come into work because they are bored Or worse they are told to because the boss needs moral support.

We have pictures and videos of MPs and the PM clearly ignoring social distancing guidelines in parliment.

Alok Sharma's illness, whatever it is, was a shot across the bow for MP's and as a result should now go back to WFH before something does happen.

I know this one. It's Dominic Cummings isn't it?
Yes it is, but you forgot to mention the list of MP‘s who think they are too - Robert Jenrick, Tahir Ali, Stephen Kinnock, Jeremy Corbyn, Ian Blackford, Barry Gardiner, Rosie Duffield, and no doubt a few others.

Rico
fair enough
But at least acknowledge the distinction.
One person made the rules then tried to get us to believe he drove to BC on his wife’s birthday only to test his eyes.
If you believe him - fair enough, Crack on

I didn't say I believed him, and have said repeatedly that he should resign. But as so many on here were keen to point out, a breach is a breach, yet are selective over who can and cannot break the rules.

Kinnock and Jenrick were caught out early on. If they'd resigned it would have set the example for others to follow.

An NHS doctor has resigned as he promised following the Cummings affair. Shame to lose a valuable person helping society.

They all should resign

Barry Gardiner for instance wants Cummings sacked but it’s okay to join a protest and ‘try my best’ to maintain social distancing

Hypocrisy works both way
