I can see why though. A Championship side is the worst of both worlds to a League One or Two side. Probably won't get many more home fans in, and don't have a great chance of winning unless we f*** it off. At least with a Prem side they know all of the part timers will turn up!From their comments on twitter we are a disappointment to them.
Considering they`ve been playing teams in the fourth tier of English football - like Tranmere and Sutton - they should be grateful. !

Its surprising they regularly get crowds from 16,000 - 20,000+ for home games! Their support is fanatical - they deserve the support just for sticking with the Banatams through the tough times. Valley Parade now has an official capacity of 24,343, so they`l fill that.I can see why though. A Championship side is the worst of both worlds to a League One or Two side. They only got 6,000 in for Blackburn in the cup there last season. And I'd expect similar for us.Its surprising they regularly get crowds from 16,000 - 20,000+ for home games! Bradford City - all home game attendances last season - including cup games. [Average 16,000].

That's surprisingly low. They only got 6,000 in for Blackburn in the cup there last season. And I'd expect similar for us.
Making a general point because people wont be aware of how big their crowds are for a team in the Fourth Division. They only got 6,000 in for Blackburn in the cup there last season. And I'd expect similar for us.
I was comparing in terms of an EFL Cup game which are always a lot lower than league attendences unless clubs make the latter stages or get a big (relative to team size) draw. They won't get many more against us than they would if they drew a team in their division, which they'd at least expect to win. So it's kind of a lose-lose for them as a club.Making a general point because people wont be aware of how big their crowds are for a team in the Fourth Division.
"Probably won't get many more home fans in......." By that logic - its a full house.
We`l see.
Well yes, that's kind of my point. It's not a knock on their attendances. EFL Cup games are generally poorly attended unless you draw a big team, have a derby or you make the latter stages. Even the year we won the League Cup we only had around 9,000 in during the early rounds.By comparison - we only got 9361 against Barnsley last season.
Means nothing.

I remember Peter Beagrie playing for them against us in the Premier League. And being very confused about why our fans were booing him as I was too young to know that he'd ever even played for us.Remember them being in the Premier League.
