All set for international travel 👍

My flights to the UK at the end of August were canceled yesterday. I'm pleased about that.

Virgin atlantic have put back their start of travel until august now. The quarantine rules are killing them.

Not sure how I feel about this. Quarantine will be great to ensure we only have domestic cases and don't import more but it's going to keep the economy battered.

The travel industry will struggle for a while but domestic tourism will be in for a boost once the doors open.

I know a few who normally travel abroad who are looking to spend their money locally. Surely that will be a boost to the UK economy.

whats wrong with these airports

I am flying from Leeds/Bradford in 6 weeks
I think it was just a reference to wearing a boro face covering

Were going to stay uk for hols this year, difficult for us not to get to see friends and family in the states, but neither of us feel comfortable with being on a plane just yet. Plus its actually a good opportunity to go somewhere new that we might not gave otherwise, we're thinking west coast of Ireland (driving there) or devon/Cornwall, or my preferred option, Norfolk

I hate to be picky, well I don't, but I don't think many across the Irish sea would be happy with you referring to the west coast of Ireland as "The UK"

Some would be picky about Cornwall being part of the UK or even call it Cornwall, but Kernow

Ok, the British isles then, or the North western tip of continental Europe if you prefer. I was clearly referring to holidaying closer to home rather than going transatlantic or southern European

I know. Just for certain people (i.e. the Irish) that would have been a big thing!

Spain hinting overnight they may impose quarantine restrictions on inward travellers from UK in response to our quarantine rules. It could be an attempt to pressure the Government to rethink the quarantine policy. Intersti g to see how this plays out. With the news of the NZ’s new COVID cases coming from the UK there is no doubt we will be in the spotlight.
