All Quiet on the Coburn Front!

Just saw in the Gazette he’s had a bit of time on the bench and his goals have dried up recently… But I think it’s to be expected, most players have those spells!
Obviously dying for us to get promotion this season…. But I reckon a season under Carrick in the Champo and he’d turn into something special!

Carrick spoke about Coburn last week and made the points you make about how it is the whole experience not just successes on the pitch that are so important to loan players and their development as a person as well as a player.

Yeh a lot of players go away and don’t have exceptional stats at loan clubs but come back far better players - Harry Kane being example of that! I think how we finish this season could be a very Pivotal moment for Coburn…. But I do believe he has something there

Agree. Expect Coburn to be a part of the first team squad next season, especially if we are still in the championship. If we get promoted, maybe he could get a loan to a championship club. Not sure about Hoppe - could be difficult for him unless we are still in the championship. In many ways, as it has turned out, we probably didn't need Muniz, and Hoppe could have performed his role this season.

He’s started in the last 3 games but before that 4 games on the bench and hasn’t scored since early January. They are in mid table safety with no chance of going down or up But season seems to have fizzled out for both Josh and them.

It does look like it’s fizzled out, as MVBoro was saying I think promotion and it’s a loan to a championship side…. no promotion he might start to feature for us… I think Woodgate being back could be massive for him…

12 league games without a goal now, but he started like a house on fire.

Bristol Rovers are struggling in general though, it may not be just down to him.

Yeh there’s an unlimited number reasons… I think he’d be thriving in our current team… really hope it works out for him with us, could be such a top player.
