Alex Pritchard refusing to play for Sunderland again

Sunderland AFC today issued the following statement.

On Friday morning, Alex Pritchard informed the Club that he was no longer available for selection and he subsequently withdrew from today’s matchday squad.

The midfielder also expressed his desire to leave SAFC with immediate effect.

The Club will be making no further comment at this moment in time.

Smells like Team Spirit ;-)

No doubt he is but it makes you smile because it's Sunderland. I hope Clarke and Neill show solidarity to him. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Oh, I did have a little chortle for the makems, I admit :ROFLMAO:

I just hope this puts Mogga off at Brum. But it may actually be the opposite and this is his way of forcing through the move.
Another case of an agent giving their advice, I am almost sure.

Is that who he is linked with? That would be a dagger in the heart of the fans who wanted Mogga to stay and will send a message to the owners and more so to Beale.

I think the number is up for the latter. I heard him talking on the local news last night and he sounded so negative, he even mentioned how the fans had turned against him.

What happens there then, is his contract terminated with immediate effect then?
I doubt they would terminate his contract as he would then become a free agent and will be free to sign on a free for anyone. That would be a dangerous precedent to set.

He was offered a new contract yesterday but his current contract runs to the summer. My guess is there's a better offer on the table and he's forcing a move this window. He'll get sold for a discount amount. Similar to Ramirez when he was at Boro.
