Alan Shearer

I was once in the Tall Trees with Keithy Phillips (RIP) and Shearer was stood at the bar with his minders pushing away anyone who approached him. Keithy was a local barber and one of the funniest men and biggest bullshitter I have ever met. Keithy points Shearer out and I asked him if he had seen him on the local news playing golf at Slaley Hall. Keithy tells me he hadn't seen and without another word he off in Shearer's direction. I can see Keithy saying something to Shearer and his minder pushes him off but Keith keeps on talking and he's got Shearer's attention. Shearer beckons him towards him and they both end up in deep conversation with Shearer buying the drinks.

Keithy returns some 30 minutes later and I say to him 'what were you talking to him about.' Keithy said he told Shearer he had seen him playing golf at Slaley and that his swing was all wrong. He then proceeded to tell Shearer how he could improve his golf game.
 
Joelinton is the worst Brazilian since Stevie Wonder took a razor to his wife.
 
Shearer is a terrible pundit. One of the worst in fact.

He's an even worse commentator.

As soon as Leeds v Palace kicked off, I turned that game on. Ally McCoist is a fantastic co-commentator.

Such a huge difference between Ally & Shearer.

I must say though, Prime's coverage is far superior to BT & Skysports.

Wish they had more live games instead of Sky/BT
 
Anyone hear the MOTD top ten podcast when Shearer and Micah Richards had to pick the best X1 they’d ever played with at club level?
Shearer picked Graeme Le Saux on the left side of midfield. Ahead of David Ginola......
