Al-Nassr

UEFA have form for treating richer nations favorably.

They welcolme the Isreali national and domestic teams but not Palestinian teams.

Or Lebanese, as far as I'm aware.

How come Isreal is in Europe, whilst Lebanon is in Africa?

Lebanon is in the Asian Football Confederation on account of being in Asia.

Israel plays in UEFA, having previously played in Oceania, because hardly anyone in the AFC will play them, so you end up with farcical qualifying tournaments.

Because all of the middle Eastern teams said they wouldn't compete against Israel.
It's an anomaly, but what do you do? In the current climate there must be consideration to banning them as Russia have been.

Crazy to think they played in the Oceania Confederation. They are nowhere near the rest of the teams in that competition.

I hope they get in and bump someone out then let the fun begin.

Champs league can do one as far as I'm concerned

I don't think the source for the initial report is anything to be taken seriously. So people are getting a bit ahead of themselves with their reactions. Basically a story that has received a lot more traction than it deserved.

Or alternatively someone's used him to test public opinion.

Sorry not buying that at all. It's a story made up to boast his profile and there is no way to disprove it so it can just be brushed aside as there were talks but didn't go anywhere. If these talks were happening a lot more people would be talking about it. Not like UEFA is some secret organisation that manages to avoid leaks. Everyone knows what they are up long before things are announced.

There's no way with the power that Qatar now has inside European football that they would allow it to happen.

He's also tweeting that the Spanish league is considering changing kick off times of their top teams to avoid clashes with Al-Nassr. I'm sure the Spanish are really worried about losing viewers to people watching that team and not the other big clubs in Europe.
