Akpom

Didnā€™t Warnock send him out on loan?

Donā€™t think anyone could deny he looked better under wilder than Warnock

Warnock said he was his number one target all summer after he started the season with 2 goals in 2 games.

Then binned him off on loan to Greece a year later.

Bloke couldnā€™t lie straight in bed.

The only person who deserves praise for Chuba's form this season is Chuba. He was sent to train with the youth team and told he was leaving until Wilder realised that he was about to start the season without options up front. He was given a chance because there weren't any other options and he took it.

Not sure whether this is him finally putting in performances online with his talent or whether it's just a good run of form. But whatever it is, he's probably our best performing player at the moment. And I think Carrick might have found a great role for him in the side.

All 3 should be training with the group for me , getting up to speed in case they ARE needed. They also have more chance of getting a club if they are showing willing and are ready to go. Seems odd to not include them , unless they are bad eggs, and I'm sure they are not , as their characters will have been checked before we signed them.
Uche is the poor mans Lukaku, but Lukaku does his graft for the team, I'm sure CW can get a tune out of him if he Is fit. Akpom, is not a top CF, so needs to change his game to offer more. We want better, but until we get them, use our resources which we are paying for. I like Uche, get him fitter and he will do a job for someone if not us.
Akpom is so annoying, he has something , but he doesn't seem to graft or want it enough. That's what NW said about Spence, and look what happened there.
I look back on this post by myself, Akpom HAS changed his game , and is like a new signing.
He IS grafting and looks like he wants it .
I am over the moon he has turned himself around . Long May it continue .

Heā€™s hit a rare purple patch when you look at his entire career to date. If he can keep it going then great for us. But it maybe a sign of how far weā€™ve fallen that weā€™re relying on Chuba Akpom.

But credit where credit is due, he was our best player last night. Retained the ball and started attacks because of it, looked strong and agile.
He was the glue that kept us moving

Best goal per minute ratio in the league

Easy comments to make with the power of hindsight.

It's obvious Akpom's completely changed his game and is doing something different... He's been our best player by a mile in my opinion, but nobody can disagree that his record before these last 12 games has been absolutely rubbish.

I disagree whole heartedly with your ā€œrubbishā€ assessment. Way over the top!
