If this injury he supposedly has had been mid season he would have missed ten weeks of action so far - must be pretty serious!
can't remember exactly but did the club not say or infer it was not a serious injury when he missed the trip to Portugal has there been any indication of when he will be back or if he is even training again with the squad, maybe I have missed any updates but have no idea
Maybe he’s alright, we’re trying to find a buyer and don’t want to risk the deal by getting him injured. Maybe he’s not injured and the sooner he’s gone the sooner we can afford a couple of new players.
Hope that’s wrong but it looks to be the case at the moment.
He’s being a bit feeble, he could play with one legHe's got a knee injury, not an amputation.
You can actually walk with a bad knee.
I sat on a beach in the Caribbean once and picked out and ingrowing toenail. The relief when I pulled it out was amazing.I reckon it's an ingrowing toe nail. They can be very nasty.
Because it’s the most likely explanation for his absence. Why does it look to be the case?
No need for the sarcasm fella. He's got a knee injury, not an amputation.

Cheers good stuff, seems a fair enough update from the club, looks like he might miss a game or two from the off but hopefully not too many games15th July - “Chuba’s just going through his recovery, but he’s good," the Boro head coach said. "He actually got injured in the last game of the season, so he’s had to work hard over the summer with a little bit of rehab. We just have to manage him and try and get him back in the squad as soon as we can."
19th July - "He’s had a problem with his knee, so unfortunately he’s missed a few weeks. Hopefully he’ll be back pretty soon.
That's the last we heard on him from Carrick.
He's not been in training apart from the brief light bits on the first few days of pre-season.

In which case, given it's a knee injury, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that he'd be wearing some sort of knee brace/support. Or maybe not playing footie in the back garden with his child. Or maybe not doing the full fitness assessment with his squad mates on 26th June. If he got injured in training subsequently, fair enough. But I haven't seen that reported anywhere. There's no sarcasm.
Injured players can still socialise.
