AJ v Whyte

Sold out on Day 1 of General Sale. I'm surprised at that.

I had a quick look this morning but thought it was overpriced especially with undercard yet to be revealed.

Two fighters in last chance saloon.

Yes I just bought one about an hour ago- there are some single tickets available but cheapest around 70.

It’s a great venue for that fight - hopefully the undercard will ah e a few decent fights - Hearn shows are usually ok in that regard.

I don't like being too high and the tickets I would usually go for (front of the lowest stand) were coming out at just shy of 400 quid for two which I thought was steep. With travel and accommodation would have been looking at 700 quid for me and the wife. Maybe would have been swayed if a good undercard had been announced but with it being 5 weeks out and no one announced, I can't see it being great. Probably Campbell Hatton with a couple of other up ad comers.

It's not a title fight though. 27 quid is a rip off for this fight to be honest.

With the ever growing popularity of IPTV sticks, PPV numbers must be down? I wonder if that is what is driving up the price?
That and greed and inflation. I haven’t checked but I’m sure the latest Rolex and Ferrari prices will have gone up with inflation.

True, but it’s an eliminator for one.

Wonder how much furys fight against the non-boxer will be. Division is a joke and most of it is furys fault
It will be similar for Fury's fight and it probably won't do big numbers in the UK. I would be surprised if it sells as many as this AJ fight.
But it will do big numbers in the states and they will be paying $100-120 for it

It’s effectively. Whoever wins is likely to be facing fury or if he loses the cage fighter
Hearn already sayin Wilder is likely next for AJ. They are talking about Saudi in December for AJ v Wilder as long as he survives Whyte.

He won't fight Usyk again and I doubt they'll waste time trying to make a fight with Fury.

Doesn't seem the most obvious way of persuading people to pay for a kosher live stream?

been waiting 3 years for AJ Vs Wilder. Not sure the public appeal is still there anymore

It's still a big fight. Obviously not the fight it would have been as an undisputed bout but it was much harder to make then.

The biggest obstacle to make this fight will be Tyson Fury. Wilder may hang around to see whether he vacates or WBC strip him if he does fight Ngannou. If they do, it's likely Wilder v Ruiz could become a title fight so you would expect Wilder to go that route.

It’s Eddie hearns fault. Non title fights from matchroom on ppv were well established before fury finished his first 2 fights against wilder
