Another VADA failure. The sport is riddled. Always has been but more getting caught

Is this the third or fourth opponent that AJ has fought or been lined up to fight that has failed a doping test? Rediculous

Pathetic. What next for Joshua? Wilder is the obvious one people would want to see. Not sure Hearn will be up for it though as that’s career over if Wilder flattens him.

Or potentially Wilders career over if Joshua KOs him. I don't think this is the one sided quick KO victory for Wilder that people think it is.

It has the potential for that no doubt, but the negative safety first AJ of late could be his greatest weapon. He is a big puncher himself and if he can negate the Wilder right hand and frustrate him he's the power to catch and KO him.

I think Wilder probably wins but if the odds are decent I'd put a few quid on an AJ KO win.

It’s also impossible for fury to dodge anymore if AJ flattens wilder. He’s on the path for redemption, but I think he needs 1 or 2 warm ups first, because to beat wilder he to press from the first bell and let hands go. Everyone has seen how easy wilder is to hit and how his legs go to jelly as soon as he takes one half decent shot. Not just wilder but Ortiz too…he got out of jail in those two fights

I suspect Fury doesn’t want anything to do with Usyk but fancies a last pay day vs Joshua. Who knows tho bloke is a cretin.

Rhetorical question more aimed at Joshua's confused marketing team:
Why does Joshua need more tune up fights to fight a guy who's last fight was 11 months ago, and who hasn't had a competitive fight for nearly 2 years?

I'll be absolutely baffled if Hearn et al announce Wilder as next opponent within the timeframe they already set out.

What next? He goes life and death with 1-2 more bums. If he gets through them he's dragged to a final big payday and that's all she wrote.

Joshua knows it, Hearn knows it.

I'm struggling to see the point in Joshua continuing to be honest.

He's surely made enough money not to have to get punched in the head any more? And it's not like he's going to get back on top. Should just call it a day with his health intact.

It’s pretty obvious why, he’s lost confidence in himself. He’ll only regain that by beating people ip.

A confident Joshua throwing his hands has a great chance to beat wilder who has a really really poor defence and punch resistance. A passive Joshua doesn’t have that chance. Joshua KOd people with far better chins than wilder so absolutely can win but he has to throw his hands. the public like to beat up on Joshua but he’s had a fantastic career despite having come late to the game. He’s won the world title fight and unified belts and KOd people that had long careers and hadn’t been KOd. Maybe he was overhyped, but he’s still a top heavyweight who shouldn’t be disregarded ao easily by so many

I don't think it's the only way to beat him. It worked for Fury for sure, but styles make fights. AJ is too analytical to just go for a straight shoot-out. He will look to use his boxing skills and setup the shot to take him out. Wilder is so technically poor, he's been exposed so many times by many lessers boxers, but has gotten away with it with a big haymaker.

What a load of rubbish.

Joshua is working on a change of technique. He looks more compact and obviously working on being a bit more difficult to hit. He and James know that he's been far too easy to hit in the past. He can't let Wilder take pot shots at him. He'll be put to sleep.

Its not tune up fights for sharpness or fitness. He wants rounds where he's implementing changes and trying to improve

I think Wilder / Joshua can go either way to be honest. I would probably slightly favour Wilder I don't think it goes past 6 rounds either way. Neither have the strongest chin and both give their opponent chances. AJ carries more power than Fury. He won't keep getting up from AJs big shots if he lands them like did Fury did.

All the noise is that he wants Wilder next. we will see...

He clearly still has the self belief that he can get back to the top. I think he can beat Wilder.

He never beats Usyk.

I doubt he ever beats Fury but I doubt Fury will ever fight him. There will still be opportunities for him to become World Champ again. Usyk is 37 or 38. He won't go forever. Fury may well never fight again.

I see Joshua as a better version of Frank Bruno. No disrespect meant by that, a world class fighter but not quite on the very elite rung.

Thats exactly right. You don't make 7 successful world title defences if your shyte. No matter what some people think.

Wilder isn't elite either though
No he’s not but you just can’t teach that power.
