Before the kids go back to school, there’s a national military exercise going on at the mo so RAF Leeming is hosting lots of aircraft, helicopters and SF Parachuting. There’s a spotters car park in Leeming/Gatenby village. Lots of large Transport aircraft are coming and going, and Chinook and Apache helicopters in and out throughout the day.
Round the corner is Simply Dutch store which is one of the.most interesting stores to mooch about for the wife, and Exelby services on the A1 has a newly installed Red Arrow Hawk installed next to the car park.
