I might be getting carried away but honestly he surprised me with that performance. I have no hesitation him starting alongside Hackney against Swansea if Howson is out.

I’d be half tempted to start him anyway I was that impressed. Hackney was very good today too. Looks a lot sharper than he did at any point last season really.

He was rarely fully fit was he? In a way maybe a blessing in disguise. If he had been we might have received a bid we couldn't turn down.

Hopefully another legendary midfield pairing in the making.

Yeah could be a blessing as you say and he looks raring to go now so all bodes well.

Look forward to seeing the highlights on the Mfc website later on. Bodes well. Maybe another good spot from the recruitment team

Just as some were saying he was not ready now some are saying he is. The truth is probably somewhere in between. Only Carrick knows and I assume he wont tell.

No I was and still am at a friend's birthday party. Missed Harrogate as I was at a Wedding but managed to catch Donny and Bolton.
Pretty much the first team starting today like Doncaster so glad it was impressive. Bench looks weak atm moment but hopefully more players to come.
Any word on why Howson went off.

Took a knock early on the kept playing but it kept niggling him so came off. He didn’t look right after the knock
