Adam Forshaw (33) apparently off to Blackburn.

I always liked Forshaw. He always looked tidy on the ball and decent technically. I imagine in his prime he'd fit right into the way Carrick plays.

Unfortunately he was behind arguably the best CM pairing in the champo. Leadbitter and Clayton were superb as a due. Just complimented each other so well. We are crying out for a prime version of either now. Especially Clayton type with Morris out.

That said Forshaw was one of very few who came out the prem season with any real credit.

I'm not sure Clayton could play in Carrick's system. We expect a lot from our midfielders in possession. I'm not sure Clayton was comfortable enough on the ball to do what would.be asked from him.
He was excellent at the role Karanka had him in which was essentially a destroyer and then just drop it off.

I really liked Forshaw and agree was the most comfortable at PL level out of him, Leadbitter and Clayton. He was well rated by Bielsa at Leeds as well who still involved him in the PL.after being promoted. He picked up quite a few injuries though.

Good luck to Forshaw. A likeable player. Probably going to be used mainly for cover at this stage in his career to be fair. Probably a bit of a risk given his injury record.

Allows me to run my Adam Forshaw story.

Went to see a few friends in Speke. Sat in a pub garden, lovely summers day, mate says "one of your ex-players is from round here". Oh who? "Adam Forshaw". I think he was at Leeds by then.

Five minutes later, a skinny, very fit looking bloke wanders past the pub garden. **** me, it's Adam Forshaw.

Interesting that back in the day Karanka never ‘rested’ players as seems to be the trend these days
He rotated lots, and people moaned about it. There were just a few players who seemed to be able to play all the time without it impacting their performance, the midfield two and Gerorge Friend being the main ones

He was quite a liability at Argyle. None of my Argyle-supporting mates will be sad if (when?) he leaves the club. He was great for us back in the day.
