Plastic man (aka Ritchie Hawtin ) is well worth exploring if you like truly squelchy dark rolling acid sound. His sheet one album and follow up musik are masterpieces of the genre. Plenty of artists are still making acid house/ techno.

Emotinium by Roy of the Ravers is one of the most uplifting pieces of music you could wish to hear, a 12 minute opus. Be warned a lot of his other stuff is very dog bothering.

Yes I'm about 30+ years too late getting into this, but the moment has arrived, and I quite like it. I am sure there are some headz on here so what are your '80s recommendations? That squelchy moog acid sound really gets me.

Must have been a right dodgy batch of tablets for it to take 30 years to kick in.
