On the weekend of the 12 and 13 July,. I don't know how they know, but good news if it's true, gives us time to get accommodation and flights at a reasonable price, I was going to take holiday around that time as I have a niece's wedding in Wingate the following weekend, so going to do my best to get to this. UTB

Euro final on the 14th too. Potential to be a cracker of a trip
 
Forgot all about that, already looked at flights and was thinking flying out on Thursday, but might try and get on the Wednesday for a fan zone in Cologne or Dusseldorf for a semi final game.

Although neither are anywhere near Oberhausen, I have good value rooms in Munich for 9 July (Semi) and Berlin for 13-15 July if anyone fancies making a trip of it.

In July, MFC will travel to Oberhausen for a summer tournament on the weekend of 12th and 13th July. The group are encouraging as many fans from boro to make this trip for the weekend, and grow the friendship even more. Further information to follow.

This summer the Boro U21 squad will be taking part in a pre-season tournament at the Niederrheinstadion in Oberhausen; a town twinned with Middlesbrough.

The tournament is to celebrate the 120 year anniversary of Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and has been organised by the club and their fan scene. It will be a two day league taking place on Friday the 12th and Saturday the 13th of July featuring Middlesbrough and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen alongside two more teams yet to be announced.

This will be a great opportunity for fans to experience the German footballing culture, to build on Boro’s friendship with RWO and to enjoy a weekend away in Germany so we would love to see as many Boro supporters make the trip as possible!

A quick train or taxi from Düsseldorf airport will lead you to Oberhausen.

We have also set up a dedicated WhatsApp chat for all fans who are interested in going over and may have questions or require additional information, message the page for a link to this.
 
Nice to see Leo on that video. If they wanted to make it really feisty they should invite their local neighbors Rot-Weiss Essen and their twinned city - Sunderland.
 
We have flights booked Manchester to Cologne for this. Quick two days 12th to 14th. Flight is only £80 at the moment. Should be a cracking weekend..I've always wanted visit Oberhausen so a perfect opportunity.
