Absolute Sickener

What good things. Not many to speak of. Passed the ball like that training video for 5 minutes then gave up.
Akpom was ok and scored. Giles crossing was better than of late. That's about it.
Onwards to Hull didn't go today but will be at Hull.
 
I know we've gotta be defending set pieces better but we were the better team and I was encouraged. If the ref did his job properly we have a point there.
I loved the fact we crossed the ball in at every opportunity
 
We did some good things, we looked better on the ball but I still struggle to think of many chances we created.

They've looked like scoring from every set piece and had one disallowed for god knows what. I don't see how we were unlucky to be honest.

Akpom’s left foot volley in the first half. aside from that I can’t think of anything clear cut in either half. A few where the ball has dropped neither here nor there, a few crosses second half that came to nothing, but from open play we struggled massively to create anything.
 
Our defenders did not defend .
Fry and Lenaghan got bullied by Riis , they both were positionally poor and un aware of the dangers for both goals . One of them should have been close to Riis , we knew he was their danger man but gave him a free role .
Fry marking no one for both goals .
Lenaghan bullied for the 2nd .
Giles defensively poor , although his crossing was decent .
McGree , Hackney and Akpom were decent .
Jones off the boil again .
You could sense the winner coming .

Agree with most of that, Fry was poor all match, not only his positional play, but his passing was off all day!!
Akpom was head and shoulders our best player today...
 
We looked semi-decent on the ball I thought, but once we got towards their box some of the players just didn’t know what to do.

Giles was annoying me with how reluctant he was to get in a position to cross the ball. Players were having to literally point to where he should be.

Fry was and is a big weak point when he’s got the ball and being pressed, lost count of the times he put Howson in a dangerous position with loose passes.

Akpom looked class with his linkup play until he started flagging late on. I can’t work Muniz out, I think Watmore starts ahead of him if he’s fit.

Jones, I’m sick of his constant diving and looking for fouls that he’s not going to get. Refs have cottoned on and it just slows us down.

Thought McGree played well today, personally.

We were let down by dreadful defending and poor finishing.

One of the few games this season where I don't think the midfield was the issue.

He’s not a left back though is he? Didn’t know much about him before the loan but I thought he was more of a left mid/attacker? Difficult to ask him to be an outstanding left back if he’s playing out of position
 
Difficult to see anything other than a slog this season. A not insignificant chunk of our squad are really poor, no amount of swapping the manager is going to change that.
 
We are still missing the Left Centre Half desperately.
Clarke was bought for that role but looks better as a LB .
The spine needs improvement.

Also an Alternative to Jones and Giles so we can bring a like for like on if either are not performing.
Big ask I know , but the league doesn’t lie .
