What sort of an excuse is that! If he can play golf....To be fair to Bairstow he did have a broken leg at the time

I appreciate the 100 isn't for everyone, and its certainly not my preferred format, but there are less exciting things to watch on a Friday night than Jos Buttler smashing it out of the ground for an hour.I don't mind T20 though Test's are the best form of cricket - Limited over's internationals are good - though I hardly watch any domestic limited over cricket the 100 is just shambolic & a vehicle to get both mens & womens game on at the same venue on the same night - increase exposure / participation of womens game - MCC / Sky / BBC carbuncle of a game.
I'm (fairly) sure you are being sarky but he actually managed to break his leg playing golf - Not sure how much alcohol has to be involved for this to happen. What sort of an excuse is that! If he can play golf....
I did see him at Headingley last year. Stayed at the hotel as was going to a gig in Leeds. It was a boiling hot day, Headingley was far from busy, but we couldn't sit in the seats in front of our hotel room without a match ticket (the door was locked and the windows wouldn't even open) so we sat and watched him bat in the boiling heat in front of a pain of glass until we had enough and literally closed the curtains.I'm (fairly) sure you are being sarky but he actually managed to break his leg playing golf - Not sure how much alcohol has to be involved for this to happen.
He certainly hasn't looked that good out at the current IPL.
He played a couple of games for Yorkshire at start of last season but that was just to try and prove his fitness for the ashes (didn't do a lot in Yorks games - 1 good catch, and he looked pondorous in warm ups as if his leg was still giving hi problems.
Couldn't you just walk into a normal seat as there is no security checking tickets once through turnstile (which you got through to get to hotel)I did see him at Headingley last year. Wednesday night, it's football nightgreat cricket weather... I hope the sun is beating down in leeds....
I watched Bairstow last year and thought the same. He hasn't come back from his injury with any sort of consistency. What do people make of Englands world cup squad, having watched bairstow a fair bit in the IPL i woukd be amazed if he starts, hes a shadow of his former self.
Salt did very well in the IPL
I’ve said this a few times about Bairstow. He’s been a great servant for England but he’s not getting any younger and he’s been crap since his return.I watched Bairstow last year and thought the same. He hasn't come back from his injury with any sort of consistency.
Can confirm it's hosing down at present and forecast to continue doing so forever.great cricket weather... I hope the sun is beating down in leeds....
Bad news on weather front. Got a letter off the YCCC CEO the other day basically telling us that Yorkshire will have to move from members to season tickets to enable it to survive long term. He put this down to lack of international cricket this season being major factor.great cricket weather... I hope the sun is beating down in leeds....
If UK based most will be off with rainI put all the cricket & footy coming up in my google calendar last night..... there's not much time to do any work
