A little bit more Mick Lynch...

Now that is the start of a solution. Mick Lynch didn't say that

He doesn't need to thats not his job to fix the whole of society, his job is to get the best deal for his members.

It really isn't rocket science, there's lots of things that 'could' be put in place such as higher taxation of the top earners, limits to CEO's pay , limits on bankers bonuses etc.

Its very easy to come up with solutions the hard thing is getting the billionaires to agree to it.

The hard thing is getting the working class to vote for it.

The thing is billionaires do not have to agree with it, there are loads more of us than them. As Corcaigh said, the key is to convey to the electorate just how much power they have to change society.

We could vote to introduce a compulsory one off tax of 90% of all billionaire's wealth if we wanted to and there's not a thing they could do about it as we could freeze their assets.

Whether that would be a sensible policy or not is another question of course but it is possible. The country does not have to be as messed up as it is, people need to vote though to change it.

If they can pay the execs huge bonuses and make a profit the why not nationalise it.
I wish they would.
The thing that annoys me the most about the privatisation of the railways, other than the fact the government of the day sold off public assets, is the fact that rail operators are being paid vast sums of public money by the government, yet still posting record profits.

It's the worst of both worlds isn't it?

Privatise the profits, nationalise the losses.

It's an absolute p*** take.

Perhaps the answer to that is the government can’t allow the rail companies to fail.
It would damage the whole ‘Private Better’ model even more. Just as, no matter what they pretend, the NHS is up for grabs.

Today's Mick Lynch leveller, for those who find him a tiny bit reassuring in the midst of usual corruption, lies and self promotion that seems to proliferate those in the public eye.
