A 4 game contract - allardyce to Leeds

I bet it nets him £1,000,000. When you look at what players are being paid a week. Its like a "consultancy fee" with add-ons if he achieves their aim. I hope they drop further like a stone. If thats the best the Leeds Board can do - sack three Managers and have a fourth in place, since February 2022, its a shambles. Good luck to them. It wont bother Sam. (y)
I wouldn’t be too surprised if the big fella has negotiated a better bonus package than just a million £. I’m not too sure what is the total cost of relegation but it must be somewhere around £200m, so Sam should be getting at least 1 percent of that.

£500K for 4 games.
£1,000,000 bonus if he keeps them up.

A lot depends on others around them.
Relegation nailed on.
Nice work if you can get it.

There are only so many cups per season to win. These deluded fans of the Premiership clubs all demand success. Unfortunately, they all can't win a title or a cup.

The fans moaning that they haven't won a trophy for 10, 20 or 30 years, need a reality check. Most of their clubs have been in the Premiership from the start, creamed off all the money and left the rest of us with nothing. They have fantastic stadiums, players bought for 10s of millions, European football, televised games every day etc.
Try playing in the lower leagues. Best hope we can have is that we get promoted and finish above relegation.

Everton going down will be great to watch. Their fans just expect to be in the Premiership no matter what. Just wished Chelsea had appointed Lampard 3 month earlier.

The wife works next to the Leeds Utd training ground - there are a lot more cars there this morning that usual… stuff is afoot!!!

Looks like he's being joined by Karl Robinson and Robbie Keane...

Leeds fans seem happy to have Keane in, someone who knows the place, was a bit of a disaster up here when part of Woodgate's setup. Robinson taking a step back from being a manager as well.

Actually only 6 clubs have been in the Prem constantly since it was formed, so I wouldn't say most of their clubs.

Though I get your point about Everton, as well as being one of the 6 clubs, this is 120 seasons out of 124 they've been in the top flight overall. so their fans will look at them being at the top table as a "divine right."

If we take Southampton as down (which they are pretty close to being) and West Ham upwards as safe (and it would take a complete collapse from any of these clubs to not be) then from the 4 remaining in danger of joining Southampton the only club I'd particularly want to stay up would be Leicester. Out of the other 3, Toffees finally getting a taste of life outside the money league would be a great turn up for the books, Leeds because, well , they're Leeds, and Forest for their ridiculous transfer business since promotion was guaranteed. It's just a pity Saints are sat there propping the the lot up as those 3 all going down would be a Carlsberg relegation.

I was reading about Sam earlier today and it seems that money motivates him.
Why wouldn’t it, he’s nailed that rep as a firefighter and can sit at home, wait for the phone to ring and can name his price for a few months’ work organising dreadful teams.

To be slightly fair to Big Sam I think it’s a little bit chicken and egg. He did do an excellent job at Bolton and a decent job at West Ham, but was always very vocal that he didn’t get much respect or a chance at top jobs because his name wasn’t Alloradicé and his teams were seen as agricultural.

I think after the England nightmare he gave up all ambitions of being a serious manager and decided to be mr short term, save your season for a fat cheque.

Happens to Moyes as well and Warnock to an extent, clubs keep offering them short term contracts which is a little disrespectful in a way. West Ham only hired Moyes permanently through gritted teeth, they then finished 7th and are going to a European final.

I wouldn’t want Sam near the Boro but still like him for naming his new Portuguese villa ‘Casa St James’ which he bought with his Newcastle payoff.

Not to worry.
Sam can walk away no matter what.
He`s in a win win situation.
Leeds will be "back where we belong" come the last day of the season

He’s being paid 12 years of my wages for a few weeks work, it’s daft money and I hope he messes it right up.
