Just been watching the press conference on this, horrific story. The gunman is the absolute scum of the earth (I can go a lot further but it'll only get censored) and 15 years to the day since Rhys Jones was shot and killed.

Can't comprehend what has gone on there and how her family must be feeling. Police telling the local scumbags not to protect the gunman.. hope someone does the right thing and he is soon brought to justice.

Sadly another persons life is of very little value to some people.
 
Absolutely horrific. Can't even begin to comprehend what that little girl's family are going through.

Is there any suspected motive? Surely not just a random attack?

The mother opened the door after hearing a commotion outside. The man who was being chased forced his way into the house. The gunman followed and began shooting. Injuring the mother and the man being chased and killing the 9 year old.
 
Such a horrendous and heartbreaking story. This world doesn't have much use for a person who'd indiscriminately fire into a house with at least two innocent people, one of them a child, visibly standing in the line of fire. Hope he's found by the police asap.
 
Has it been established if the guy who ran into the house is known to the mother?

Tragic regardless, I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time before those responsible are brought to justice.

My understanding is she opened the door to see what was going on then someone being chased, seemingly unknown to her, barged in and was followed by the gunman.

No connection at all to this poor family it seems

That's how it seems currently, I just thought it was counterintuitive to open your door after hearing gunshots
 
Awful, terrible business. Beyond belief that this could happen in one's own home. Thoughts are with the family.

Police say neither bloke was known to the Familly, appears she only heard a ‘commotion’ and opened the door. The shooting started when he forced his way in.
Just read the details in the Times, absolutely horrific, can you imagine if that happened to your sister and her baby.
 
Liverpool criminal underworld now under massive pressure to out these two men and get this heinous killer locked up.

The guy who was the target has a duty to let the police know why he was targeted but it’s unlikely to happen…

hoppefully the gunman’s employees take him to Bruges… 🤬
 
Anyone shielding either of these men deserve to rot with them. Surely no normal person could live with the guilt of what had happened if they were directly involved.. at least not without anyone around them noticing
 
I can only presume that the guy being chased and shot at isn't an 'average joe' who was out for an evening stroll.

So you'd think he will almost certainly have some idea why he's been targeted. Although that probably won't help catching the shooter but more so the people who 'hired' him. It's probably a bit easy to say but almost certainly drugs.

The guy appears to have tried to seek solace / help in a random house that's now seen a young child killed and parent injured. Just because they opened a door after hearing gunshots.

The guy who was being chased has a responsibility to say what's happened. F*ck any gangland code etc. I imagine the criminal underworld in Liverpool won't hide this gunman. It's clearly a hit that's gone massively wrong. Apparently the guy just shooting blind by sticking his hand round a door.

It's absolutely horrific how an innocent family can get caught up in this.

The world s a screwed up place😞
