9/11. Seems even crazier to me now that it did on the day it happened.

What do you think regards to USA’s potential involvement.

My honest opinion is I don’t have a clue what happened.

I’m inclined to say that there was nothing untoward about it on USA’s behalf (I.e they weren’t aware of it and certainly had no involvement in planning it etc).

The one thing I do find a bit suspicious about it is the buildings coming down as they did. I wouldn’t be hugely surprised if once it had happened bombs were strategically placed to bring the buildings down as they did so as to minimise further casualties by the buildings ‘falling over’ so to speak. Which to me would be understandable.

Although I did once read a very good / explanation as to why the buildings came down as they did, although I have absolutely no knowledge / very little understanding as to how plausible that explanation was.

What do people think??

It was either known about and ignored or dismissed or it was known about and a wilful decision to allow it to go ahead was made.

Oh I don't know. It seems a massive failure in intelligence for a country that spend what the yanks do on intelligence gathering.

Valid point.
I’d like to think/ hope it was dismissed as they didn’t think it would happen as opposed to allowed to let it happen

So your saying in under a hour, somebody turned up, assessed the buildings needed to come down, went and got explosives, rigged them up, then detonated for a perfect collapse??
Firefighters who were on the scene in minutes didn't even get upto the fire.
Think you should look into some basic Engineering and the the construction design of the building.

I tend to veer away from conspiracy theories like this. When you deal with government and see how utterly clueless they are at pretty much every level, you tend to think that having the nous and linked-up thinking needed to arrange such stuff would be way beyond them.

I think some nut jobs hijacked a few planes and flew them into prominent buildings killing loads of people.

Don’t overthink it boys.
The nut jobs had to fly under the radar though which seems unlikely. See what I did there aet?

No I’m not saying that at all. Read my post again.

Second paragraph “I’m inclined to say that there was nothing untoward about it on USA’s behalf”

Regards to the part about potential bombs being placed to bring the building down. You may note that I said “I wouldn’t be hugely surprised”, so what that means is I would be surprised but not hugely surprised!! Alternatively I don’t think that happened.

You may also note my comments regards to the explanation as to how the buildings came down where I say - “ I have absolutely no knowledge / very little understanding as to how plausible that explanation was”. Just to clarify and expand on that point, I have no knowledge of the building or engineering knowledge in general.

Think you should look into some basic reading and comprehension skills.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Looming Tower. So much preening, posturing and feathering of nests within various branches of intelligence who would've thwarted the attack had they the ability to see beyond their own little empires.

The TV show was good but the book also details so much more about the backstory and inspiration for the baddies in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan too.

I too have zero knowledge of structural engineering etc.

So I listen to expert opinions, and then make my mind up.

From what I have gathered, nothing untoward went on, apart from the catastrophe itself of course.

I just started the new Netflix series about it, it’s hard to convey how scary that day was, for me it felt like the world was about to end. My old man told me he had similair feelings on the day of the Kennedy assassination and the Cuban missile crisis

It’s hard to use “intelligence “ when referring to USA . They’ve just left a country and handed the keys over to a terrorist organisation and to top it off left them with more arms than they’ve ever dreamed .
We can nit rely on USA

There are plenty of proper investigation programs that explore the hysterical 9/11 conspiracy theories and debunk them. It's not as much fun though, I suppose. The conspiracy theorists will say that the program makers are in on the conspiracy though...

It’s actually depressing that almost 20 years after the catastrophic and devastating events of 9/11, that people still believe it was anything but a terrorist attack by a cowardly and callous organisation.

Proud of what? Strange thing to say

You asked what people thought, and mine were that I align myself with the experts, as I always do when there's something I know nothing about.
I was just being silly, it was just the way you worded it, as if listening to experts was some sort of new idea.

Sorry if it came across poorly.
