expected 2 or 3 defeat especially after an amazing 1-0 home win = 6 was brutal as MC said 6 shots on target and 6 goals ... All of the goals were gifted really

I know some will say welll you had to play at the bridge anyway..and we would have got tanked 6-1 first leg……but…

Cant help but feel it would have been better 1st leg away and get them back under lights at the Riverside…

Yeah, the 1st leg outcome at the bridge may have been the same as last night. But I dunno, just think we would have had a better shout.

Some were saying they wanted it this way around, 2nd leg away….not for me..

I agree it was embarrassing at times last night.
But looking at it objectively this morning - its probably the scoreline that you'd expect given the gulf in player quality.
Lets face it - it could have been worse if they'd taken the clear chances they created in the first leg.
Overall proud of our progress in the competition and still proud to be a Boro fan.

I think getting beat 6-2 on aggregate by a multi million pound PL team isn't too bad.

It's not that embarrasing really. Hard to watch as a Boro fan, but fans of other teams won't give it a second thought, it's just one of the richest clubs in the world giving someone a hammering. It's the norm.

TBH I have never really felt embarrassed by the Boro. It’s not as if I’m on the playing or coaching staff. I support them cos they’re my local team, not because I carefully selected them, its almost all out of my hands. Disappointed yes, embarrassed no.
