.

Club should be fined for that. They should be telling him to calm down, show respect and be aware how his behaviour puts the club in a bad light, instead they’ve doubled down.

Will they issue a statement backing the FA and referees the next time a close decision goes their way?

Absolutely disgraceful.

relegate them, I say

He rants on like that at length, but doesn’t actually say what was wrong with the goal.
In fact he flat out refuses to answer when asked. Instead he comes up with this gibberish.

“This is really the question guys, the question is it’s not a goal it’s simple it’s not a goal. Simple. For a goal to be allowed there are certain things prior to that, that the ball hitting one metre from the goal that are not allowed in football, in football in here in China, in Japan, in Spain, in Italy, and in Portugal, they are not allowed. That's what happens.”

Anyone have a clue what that even means?

Never knew you had to be at least a meter out to score? What a fitwuck.

Petulant brat, one of the managers that never see any issues when Arsenal get a dodgy decisions. Much like Klopp. The Premier league should give him a hefty fine.

I think Arteta and the statement in particular make a decent point. The statement especially makes a point about the performance of the refereeing of the game, which I thought was absolutely scandolous, for both teams. He completely and utterly lost control of the game and its a miracle somebody didn't get seriously injured. Havertz should probably have been sent off, Guimaraes should definitely have been sent off. Like Neville said during commentary, he could probably have been booked 5 times alone during the game, yet finally gets booked with about 2 minutes left.

The greater point here is that its always Stuart Atwell. Go back over the last 2/3 seasons and I would be confident in saying that he will be involved as either on field referee or VAR in most of them. He is absolutely nowhere near good enough to be refereeing top games, and the fact that PGMOL see fit to appoint him to referee last seasons 2nd vs 4th place teams tell you everything about where they are as an organisation.
