.

I thought it was going to be one book split into 2 again? So is it 3/4 of part 1 or 3/4 of both parts?

Anyway, either way agreed he won't finish them, he's bottled it. Wonder if the ***** ending to the TV show has put him off. Hopefully he allows someone else to finish it for him (Brandon Sanderson again? 😂).

See also Patrick Rothfuss, another dragging his feet.

More chance of us keeping a clean sheet than WOW being finished. I would have added score from a corner. Tuesdays reset that 😂

Jokes aside I've read all the books. It's been that long that I'd need to read again as no idea where they are up to as its been years.

I'm presuming we should just all give up and take the series shocker be the 'ending'.

I mean he's still got another book after Winds to write (I Dream of Spring?). That should come out when we next score from a corner lol.

Given the publisher's deadline was 2016, I have to share the opinion that he won't finish the whole story arc, unless he is aiming to finish both remaining novels before publishing either.
I think he was quoted as being 3/4 of the way through WoW this time last year.

He should be given confidence by the TV series ending: it set the bar rather low.

I wouldn't even bother reading it if he did release it because there is no chance whatsoever that he will ever get round to the final book.

Ffs.

I thought he'd finally announced it was finished from your thread title.

He's definitely dying before the final book ever comes out, so it'll all be a bit hollow.

Though I am hopeful that whoever finishes the book will "fix" the ending because of the huge backlash over how awful the tv series turned out.

The one good thing to come of the delay is Roy Dotrice has copped it so can't do the audiobook and may be some hope someone else redoes the entire series
