Ok, I am 52. Am I too old to buy a skateboard or roller skates? I see them as a fast way of transport and something I never had as a kid. None of these lazy electric ones. Plus on Jungle videos they look cool, skates that is. 😁

Whats your question.

58. Still got my Grentec Cayote GT board. Mrs thinks I'm nuts. 30 yr old son pigged that I still have an edge on him. Only inhouse challenger I see on the horizon is my grandson,
... he's 5 months. And I don't even wear my Alley Cat helmet these days!!

First board was a plank of wood with a split roller skate.

But, Not allowed a scooter or a leccy bike as they are too dangerous. Not even allowed a dog!! Have to placate myself with a fast car.

Mrs is becoming a right Killjoy. She's right to think the new patio is for her.

However old you are (and providing you are not hurting anyone else) just do what you want to do, wear whatever you feel like* and go where you want to go. Life’s too short for regrets and not doing stuff because you thought it might be embarrassing. 🙂

* Where is captain5 when we need him to make some sort of disparaging remark on the clip of me on a night out?

Yes you need to understand now the best you can get is to watch youtube vids of much younger people doing all this activity stuff. However , if you must do so, then wear a full body protection suit , else cracked elbows , knackered knees and pulled hamstrings , calfs and a twisted back is going to be your near future physical health scenario plus the worst bit , absolutely no sympathy from those around you!! Honestly ,what's the matter with draughts , chess , airfix models or painting army figurines ?
