.

It does seem very lenient considering the death, speeding & drinking.. plus.. I'm guessing the blood transfusion was due to the crash.

"The sample revealed a reading of 147 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. He had previously received blood transfusions prior to the test.

The legal limit is 80. The analysis also revealed prior use of cannabis and THC."

An absolutely horrific case, the justice system needs reviewing as there is no way the sentence fits the crime. This scumbag had no care for anyone else, if you drive a car in this condition at such speeds with zero disregard for other people then the starting point for sentencing has to be higher.
What really **** me off aswell as the short sentencing are the lengths of the driving bans. You kill someone whilst in control of a motor vehicle you aren't allowed to drive again. Simple as that. No ifs no buts.

In truth he’ll likely be out in 44 months or so, it is a joke of a sentence. His motoring ban should start from his release too, not now, as he can’t drive in prison it is only really an 8 year ban. I agree with Randy, he should not be allowed to drive again given the multitude of his offences. I’d make him take up employment too, as a crash test dummy.
