.

Once a fortnight at the mo. Looking forward to Fish and Chips this week, not had a fish take away for 3 months.

Ye the had the one in dormo. Got to know them quite well

Was disgusted how they were treated when the sold it and they kept them on for while. They had some time off during all this and they food is better than ever

Only play I know that does beef donner

Is the Dormo one closed then. They were on Station Road a few years ago. Good food.

Once a week for us, usually Saturday.
I do find it very odd that lots of kids in my son's school genuinely didn't know how to peel potatoes and that chips came from a real potato.

Surprisingly few since lockdown began.

Went to Goji's twice, Lemongrass once and Chan's twice.

Not a huge fan of most of the takeaways around Redcar, I'd get a Taco Bobs but I find it a bit expensive.
I think I'll give the Marske Istanbul a go next week though.

We've been buying once a week or so from local restaurants to try and help them through this.
I've done the same. Lots of little independent eateries near me, including a microbrewery, that have needed support throughout this. It's a little bit more expensive buying a 6 pack from the brewery than say the local Sainsbury's but you feel you're helping your community through it.

Love cooking but probably have 1 takaway a week. There's nothing to feel guilty about (there seems to be a bit of a stigma about it with some people).

Nothing better than delicious hot food being delivered to your door. Indian, chinese, parmo, pizza, fish n chips, even restaurant food. Keeps the business afloat too.

If i ever have more than one in a week i always make sure i go for something health like a chicken kebab. Flame grilled chicken breast, salad and a pitta bread. More healthy than a lot of things you would cook at home.

Yeah they moved to Marske. Afterwards the one in dormo still traded indeed the instanbul name but the food was **** and the hygiene got reported in think.

When I used to work long hours and did not have someone to cook and shop for me, I would get a Chinese once a week and a Big Mac meal once a week. Sometimes I would have nothing in the house. The worst was working away and staying in a B&B it was a restaurant or takeaway every night.

Now its fish and chips once a fortnight and I think that is a treat.

2 or 3 a decade. Nowt wrong with supermarket ready meals if you can't be bothered cooking, and I'd rather eat those and then go out for a meal (not on the same night).

Dormo one still open and it’s called instanbul cafe, but everything that was in place they’ve gone against and the food is crap.

Ye station road then dormo, sold it came back a year later under instanbul grill in marske

I've done similar. The missus has a cheat day once a week so we order from local restaurants who've started doing takeaway. Hopefully keep their heads above water.

Didn’t see this, they changed their name to pizza town then changed it back to instanbul cafe as well haha

I used to go out once a week for a meal in a restaurant or pub. Now that that’s out of the question I tend to cook at home, it was always more about the evening out than the food itself.
My favourite food by a mile is Indian cuisine and to be honest, after spending a month in India filming a cookery show, I’ve pretty much cracked at least 10 different dishes to the point where myself and my wife much prefer my authentic freshly cooked dishes to anything from the local takeaways.
Google your favourite Indian dish and have a go yourself, you just need the right ingredients and a bit of patience, once you’ve bought the spices; cumin, coriander, fenugreek, chilli, garam masala and turmeric, you can cook pretty much any Indian dish.

Never enjoyed a supermarket ready meal in my life won’t touch them now. Enjoy a takeaway once a week though on a Saturday , normally chinese or Indian

Order pizza most Fridays, it just became part of our Friday ritual. Get in from work, quick change and out by 5 or earlier depending when we finish. Few pints then home before 8 usually. Can't stand it when our local gets rammed as the bar where we sit or stand is quite small so not a fan when it gets too busy after 9 ish

We've had a few restaurant takeaways during the last couple of months, like others have posted, to try to help keep them afloat. I want these places to exist after this is 'over' because people have sunk their entire savings and put their houses on the line to create a business and then this happened, plus we like going to them. We've also done a couple of beer collections from pubs selling growlers and a some beer/wine deliveries from our local craft ale shop and we've had a cheeseboard from our local deli delivered too
