4-0 after 12 mins

Regardless of the obvious gulf in quality, England were relentless for the entire 90 minutes.

Latvia were under constant pressure by 2/3 England players whenever they did have the ball which led to them giving it away, this is why England had 60+ shots.

England could easily have just coasted along for the last 60 minutes but they never, huge credit must go to them for that.

I don't think anyone is doubting the England teams pressing game...it was 20 nil ffs....has anyone said they felt England ladies were coasting if they were I will never ever watch a ladies game as long as I live.....which in fairness is no change in status at the moment 😊

Totally embarrassing....these kind of score lines highlight how far the womens game has got to go to be anything like a genuine viewing option...
10 years I reckon.....before it breaks through into the psyche of everyone...
It's almost as though England's mens team didn't win 10-0 against San Marino last month. And San Marino have been playing in qualifyers for major tournamwnts far longer than Latvia's women's team have been. That's before getting into the development of women's football in countries like Latvia.

England are unlikely to lose a game in their group. But that also happened with the men's team. It will be very different for both teams when it gets to the finals. And that's where it matters.

20-0 is twice as many goals as 10-0.

San Marino has 33,000 people, Latvia has 1.9m.

We can't say what the men's score would be against Latvia as they've never faced each other, but it's fine to criticise the standard when the aggregate scoreline of England Women v Latvia is 30-0 over two games.

England Men against San Marino was only 15-0, and that's with arguably the best England men's side since 1966.

Your comment is also ignoring the fact that there was massive criticism of the England v San Marino scoreline, with many, many people saying that San Marino shouldn't even be allowed to play against teams like England unless they pre-qualified.
