In fact 4th could be better as would you rather millwall over 2 legs than Norwich or Blackburn ???

We need a maximum of 11 points from 18 to guarantee the play-offs, and that's only if the teams beneath us win every game.

Why stop there? Lose all our games and we don’t even make the playoffs!

Not saying you’re wrong to feel like this but we are currently 1/66 for a top 6 finish. Doubt our odds were ever that short last season.

AB makes a good point it you are so pessimistic about our chance go into ladbrookes and put £100 on us missing out.

If you don’t seem keen then why be pessimistic in the first place.

Let’s see what Monday brings a win my doubts with ease but a defeat and a few more could maybe start to worry.

Until we are mathematically in the playoffs, then we cannot take anything for granted.
We need to beat Bristol City, Norwich & Hull then we can look at who we might play in the playoffs.
Lose two of them games then its squeaky bum time.

Oh, absolutely, the players wont want to be thinking of how last season ended and nor will the fans, thankfully Carrick is calm and relaxed and am sure he will get them back up and positive..

Bristol, Norwich and Hull will not be easy all 3 are playing relatively well at present and will look at our last 2 results and feel buoyed. Lots still to play for and nothing should be taken for granted. We are good enough to do it if we play our best 11 and stick to our footballing philosophy, but nothing is guaranteed.

Here's one; we're about as likely to miss the playoffs as we are to finish 2nd. Are you getting excited about the possibility of that too?
 
We seem to have peaked - I’d say we’re looking jaded and dare i say nervy now. The winner of the playoffs will be the team that has the most belief
 
If we have a dodgy run then better now than the play offs, we just need to fully support team through harder times,to be fair a poorer set of results was always likely to happen it's how we react and bounce back is the key and us fans have a big part to play.
C'mon Boro and Super Michael Carrick
 
Need to keep picking points up even when we aren't playing well, and hopefully rediscover our recent (pre international break) form in the last 2-3 games.
Last thing we want is to be stumbling and limping into the playoffs 😬
