It doesn't matter what they say, as far as I'm concerned. I don't get a vote, and neither do 59,800,000 other people in the UK. Waste of time really. They're promising the earth to a small demographic to win tory votes. We'll end up with someone awful.
 
Starmer would wipe the floor with all of them.

No standout candidate there.

Would be interested hear what our resident Tories think about the candidates.
 
Seriously? Millions being thrown into poverty, if not out-right destitution, and they are debating trans stuff?

Same as gay rights. No-one. Gives. A. Toss. It is a non-issue.

I'd say Rishi is coming over as most accomplished, Kemi doing OK not sure about the others, although TT seems genuine he also seems out of his depth

Not maybe the most pressing of issues, but a sad sentence to read.

I meant that it is a non-issue because most people accept gay rights already. Trans is the same as far as I can tell. It is not an issue to most people but the Tories are trying to make it one to stir up their culture wars because they have nothing else.

There’s still plenty of oppression around so it’s still relevant we debate it

So do I. It shouldn't really be an issue in this day and age. It's fashionable for politicians to bang on about 'identity politics' at the moment though, especially amongst those on the right. It's a good distraction. If you can get people blaming everything on gay people, or trans people, or immigrants, or Islam or other minorities then they're not blaming the real culprits, who are the corrupt and inept politicians who are f*cking everything up deliberately. I didn't even watch the debate. They're all evil.
