30 years today since I first set foot in Ayresome Park....

It is either 49 or 50 for me, can’t be certain. Carlisle were the opposition though.
As for the game Atypical I will guess West Ham but in reality could be loads of teams, whoever the opposition, it will have been a seminal moment (y)
Oh it was! The club gained its most fierce social media henchman. 😬

If we’re wrong I’m out cos I’ve already gone through half the team and don’t want to peak . I’ll graciously stand down

edit I’ve now looked and I’m ashamed I didn’t know that scorer !

Was it Mustoe who bagged two? I'm just thinking of unlikely scorers of a double?

Edit: Forgot to say it'll be about 35 or 36 years since first visit to Ayresome for me. Big personal frustration is that I don't know what game, the old man can't remember. It must have been a cup match as I stood on a stool by the barrier in the Holgate as my Dad had a season ticket in the North, but I suppose he could have transferred it for a game to take me, so christ knows?!

**** knows when I’ll next set foot in the Riverside!
Come on man. Don’t leave me hanging like that. What was the game, did we win? Was the grass the greenest green you had ever seen? I’ll have to do some digging vans get the date of my Ayresome debut

stand out memory, on walk to ground bloke cane out of a corner shop holding a full, in cut loaf and just started biting into it. Hooked

My first game was in the late 60's but haven't got a clue who it was against. Vaguely remember a game against PNE and also a Football League representative team against a Scottish League team which would have been in '72. Didn't start going regularly until '73/'74 and got my first season ticket the year after.
But I can say absolutely the moment I was hooked. It was Bobby Murdoch's equaliser against Sunderland in the FA Cup in '75. I had never felt such intense emotion before and still to this day nothing can match those Basel/Steaua/Reading moments of joy when I completely lose my mind.

My mam always said I had been before that, but not something I remember, so class this as my 1st Boro game.
