3 more days till a visit to the barbers

TBH I am all for booking apps. They are absolutely painless to use and give you a defined time. I've spent a while sitting in barbers before when there is a queue, and its just wasted time. With the apps, you select a slot, turn up, get a haircut and go.

Its usually £12-15 depending what you want doing. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive.

I assume because then you wont be giving them £2.50, but the official angle probably along the lines of they wont know if its safe, been reused etc. Which would be my argument for using theirs
Where can you buy cheap masks?

Wait they are using masks that have already been used?

Good stuff. When I used to go to Guido's in town I would normally just walk up, but you could be waiting a while. That was fine when you could sit inside and read the paper etc, but could not be arsed with that having to stand outside.
I'll keep phoning if I can't get in next week there's always the week after, I've waited 100 plus days another 7 to 14 won't matter

The £2.50 does seem a bit steep given those prices. Adding a pound to the prices probably wouldn't raise an eyebrow and it'd cover the costs of the PPE.

There was a big queue at Wayne Pauls on Acklam Road this morning when I walked past. Apparently it's a bit quiter now though. Luckily for me I don't have much hair these days so a pair of clippers at home is enough for me 👍

The last time I visited a barbers was in Lucon in France about 6 years back. The coiffeur looked me in the eyes, looked at my head and then looked at me as if I was mad, he used an open guard on the shaver, 2 minutes later he dusted me down and charged me 25€.

My own shaver had given up the ghost and I felt better for it - A few days later I went to Leclerc and bought a new shaver for 40€.

Prior to that, I use to go to Keithy Phillips in Normanby and he's been passed away some years now.

Well tomorrow I will be have a leisurely stool to the barbers & get my 1st haircut since mid march, I really hope so anyway 💇‍♂️👍

Appts only at mine and only bookable through app/website/facebook. So it's a no.2 all over for me, £6. Bring your own mask or pay £1 for a disposable. So it's 1340 on Tuesday

Just had my first haircut since lockdown. A number two blade on the sides and back and thin the top out please. Wore my own mask but used their hand gel. £12.50 for the cut £2.50 for the PPE. Gave them £20 as they must have struggled during lockdown. Feels good to have the excess locks lopped off!

Gerrriiiin there, finally, finally & now feel 3 stone lighter
Queued outside Chris's on Linthorpe Road for an hour, sat inside for an hour then in the chair & a good auld haircut & my school cap found 💇‍♀️👍
