A £3m bid has been accepted by Wimbledon for Ali Al-Hamadi.. from Blackburn.. if we managed to step in, I could see Daniel Nkrumah maybe going out on loan.

Our very own internal scouting network has also identified another possibility Kevin Denkey 23yo and apparently heavily on the radar of Sevilla and Real Betis.. we are no strangers to missing out on Belgium based targets to La Liga.. so this should be no surprise when we have not yet formally identified him as a target beyond this message board. The deal is apparently a loan with an option to purchase.. around £9m.. which we have done before. Being 23yo would mean that we would have to sell or loan out one of our 25 man squad. Alex Gilbert has looked promising when he has played.. but at 22yo perhaps he needs more game time to fully realise his potential. Bryant Bilongo is also 22yo and is getting ever closer to those first team minutes..

There is no way we would de-register out two injured players for the sake of January incomings.. is there? Darragh Lenihan and Tommy Smith to miss the rest of the season.

What attribute in the striker would you like to see.

Target man
Fox in the box
Pacy
Tall
Etc

If you could describe a player type who would you pick.
 
The good news is.. we can buy Ali Al-Hamadi for £3m and loan in Kevin Denkey with an option to buy.. without having to loan anyone out or de-register anyone!!

Obviously as many atttibutes as possible!

“Target man” and “tall” though are less of a priority for me. We don’t play it in the air much. Pace, making good runs and natural finishing ability are the key attributes for me.

The chances our strikers are missing currently are those where they are running through on goal, or it’s cut back to them from the wing and the shot is weak. Shots from 12-20 yards that should be buried. If we had someone to convert those, we would score bucketloads more.

A Jamie Vardy type. Or Kevin Phillips in his day (apologies for the Sunderland mention). Either of those would score plenty in our current team.
