Anyone else watch it last night? Always an interesting watch but last night was something else.

Absolutely brutal viewing, had to turn away watching some of the CCTV stuff.

Sadly didn’t realise that part 2 was on tonight so I’ll have to watch later.

Not caught up yet - because of the match tonight, I want to watch both on the spin!

It is brilliant/ enthralling/ interesting TV, sometimes you forget its real. Really well produced.

Yeah brutal and also very depressing. What on earth is going through people heads to do such thing to another person. The level of violence probably fuel by alcohol and cocaine.

It’s on 4od if anyone wants to catch up. I watched both parts last night.
Got to a point where I said out loud ”will you stop showing me the cctv” 😔.

I'm recording part 2 and watching after the match. Shocking to see that. Showing no remorse, asking when he can go home. And now we know his mate had nothing to do with it

Was it that the mate had nothing to do with it or that there was insufficient proof? I’m going to research this after the match.

Stabbings are incredibly on the rise.
Prison sentences seem to have little impact as a deterrent..
The Ego/Pride is off the Scale to go to any lengths to win a fight or save face.
35 years in Prison, for what ?
Best form of self defense is always walk away when possible.
I found it hard to do in my younger days but that's was because of my Ego

Just watching it now but last night ended with them writing he spent 3 months in prison for something he didn't do
Just watched again and it’s the dialogue that says the CPS let him go due to insufficient evidence. The text comes on straight after saying 3months remand for a crime he did not commit.
Find that dialogue a bit misleading, by those standards you could say there’s insufficient evidence Smoggs03 shot JFK because they weren’t born. It’d be more accurate to say crime they did not commit and so remove all doubt for the poor fella.

Aye, it could also be said that he spent three months on remand because his mates - who he had come to ruck with - couldn't accept responsibility for what they had done.

Harrowing scenes for nothing.

There's insufficient evidence that Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK.

But let's not go there

I’ve watched the second part. The lad in the first episode was cleared.

The CCTV footage will traumatise me for a long time.

The CPS choosing to discontinue the case against him due to insufficient evidence does not mean “he had nothing to do with it”.

I was only half watching it but from menory he received a call(s) from Papworth and then travelled to the scene but possibly arrived too late.

He was obviously being investigated for murder, but other offences/charges would be considered also:

Conspiracy to commit murder / joint enterprise

Which would largely depend on the phone call conversation between him and Papworth (did he travel to the area to assist the other lads in killing the victims or with the intention of causing them serious harm etc).

Also, assist an offender, was he involved afterwards, was he involved in disposing of evidence, burning the car, getting rid of clothes / phones / the knife etc etc

Who knows what his involvement was (if any at all) but we do know Papworth rang him and then he travelled to the area, it’s possible Papworth simply rang him and said “pick me up / meet me here” and he had know knowledge of what had happened / what was about to happen.

If so, it’s a lesson he’s learned the hard way, hang about with d1ckheads and you will get dragged into their crap.
